Since the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic, our format for planned training programmes has been mainly an online offer, which will become increasingly blended in the coming months. Our training through the Skills Plus programme is being delivered online with refocused content for our sessions, relevant for the current situation. You will be able to find our upcoming training sessions on our Skills Plus and page, as well as advertised in our weekly E-Update, which you can find at the bottom of our News page.
All paid and unpaid staff working for non-National (and non-NPO), Accredited museums in the London region are eligible to apply for our training courses. This includes furloughed staff. London Museum Development's training programmes
Alongside our key ongoing training programme Skills Plus, we are running Strong and Safe, in association with The National Archives. This training programme is designed with the needs of those working in Local Authority Museums and Archives in mind. As well as the main training programme, we also offer flexible training, where the Regional Collection Care team come out to your institution to train you on site. For further information regarding our flexible training offer, see the collections care page or follow the link below.
We have also developed a number of tutorials and training videos to help you and support your organisation. You can find all of our videos, including training offered through the now discontinued Digital Futures programme, on our YouTube channel, from tutorials such as editing videos to seminar recordings such as Planning for Alternative Futures.
