Hey London! We can't wait to welcome you to the museum. On this page you can find the answers to some of the most commonly-asked visiting and booking questions.

What are your opening times?

We’re open Mon–Sun, 10am–5pm

Please note that we recommend allowing at least an hour for your visit, and we start clearing the galleries 20 minutes before closing time.

We are closed on 24, 25 & 26 December. We are open as normal on 31 December & 1 January.

The café is open Mon–Sun, 10am–4.30pm.


Do I need to buy tickets for the museum?

General admission to Museum of London Docklands is free and you do not need a ticket in advance, just turn up and we will be happy to welcome you.

Entry to our Fashion City exhibition (13 October 2023 – 14 April 2024) is paid and booking online in advance is recommended to guarantee entry and for best prices. Online adult tickets are from £13 and children from £6.50.

What is the nearest tube station?

The nearest London Underground station is Canary Wharf and the nearest DLR station is West India Quay. Both stations have step-free access.

Buses D3, D7, D8, 277, D6, 15, 115, 135 also stop nearby.

Can I reschedule my Fashion City visit?

If you have already booked a ticket to the exhibition but are no longer able to attend at this date or time, please contact our box office directly on 020 7001 9844 or email [email protected] to re arrange your booking.

What measures do you have in place to ensure staff and visitor safety?

The museum is in close contact with the metropolitan police, private security staff at Canary Wharf Group and others to discuss the on-going safety around the museum’s Fashion City exhibition and its accompanying programme of events.

The well-being of guests, staff, and partners remains paramount, and we are maintaining an active security presence on site.

Are lockers and cloakrooms available?

Yes, lockers and cloakrooms are available. Lockers are big enough to take cabin sized luggage (24cm x 37cm x 43cm) and cost £1 to use.

Are buggy park facilities available?

Yes, buggy parks are available.

Are you running live talks and tours?

Live gallery talks and tours from the museum hosts are available. Please check the digital screens or ask a member of staff when you arrive for up-to-date talk and tour times for that day.

Do you accept cash payments?

We do accept cash payments in the museum shops and cafes but we would encourage visitors to use cashless methods wherever possible.

Is there seating in the galleries?

There is limited seating available in the galleries. Please speak to a member of the team if you need further assistance.

How do I book tickets for Mudlarks?

Tickets for the Mudlarks family gallery at the Museum of London Docklands are available to book in advance. Mudlarks tickets include general admission to the rest of the museum. You can find out more about the booking process on the Mudlarks page.

What if a question of mine hasn't been answered here?
