Museum of London is changing!

The lower galleries are currently closed for an exciting transformation. Spectacular new galleries will open in spring 2010 with over 4000 objects on display, more gallery space and online access to the Museum's collections.

The Galleries of Modern London will take the story of London and its people up to the present day, reflecting how the vibrant and unflagging energy of Londoners has shaped the modern city.

You will be able to admire the magnificent Lord Mayor's Coach, take a stroll down the Victorian Walk and lust after exquisite fashion when the new galleries are unveiled in spring 2010.

Until the grand opening you can still discover the capital's many incarnations in the following galleries and exhibitions:

• London before London,
• Roman London
• Medieval London
• London's Burning (a special display on the Great Fire)
