Your research

Our general family history resources are quite limited. The Museum does not hold any parish records or census records.  For those you should visit the London Metropolitan Archives, the National Archives or the Guildhall Library.

If your ancestors worked in the Docks, we may have information about them in the records of the Port of London Authority. These are not available online but records can be seen by appointment in the Sainsbury Study Centre.
