Who else might you encounter on your special journey?

Ready to go?

Step back in time to help Lenny the Post Rat with his rounds in Sailortown.

Will you visit Ms Fox in the Animal Emporium, help Michael with his mudlarking, or see who’s about in the Three Mariners pub? You choose!

Sometimes, Lenny or others might give you a choice about what you do. Simply click or touch the buttons (when they appear) to make your choices.

The full experience lasts around 20 minutes. And you can always do it again to see what other adventures are possible!

What are you waiting for? Click on or touch the video below to get going!

Need any help?

Having problems or want to know more? Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about Tails of Sailortown.

What do I need to have the experience?

You’ll need a computer, tablet or smartphone with a good internet connection and sound enabled to enjoy it. You should see a video player above which says 'Press to start' on it. Click on the triangle button in the bottom left corner of it to begin the experience.

What do the different video controls do?

At the bottom of the video player are the following buttons:

  • One with a triangle that plays or pauses the video
  • A progress bar that allows you to skip to different points in the video
  • One marked 'CC' that allows you to turn Closed Captions on or off
  • One with a cog on it that allows you to change the video quality
  • One with four arrows on it that allows you to watch in full screen mode

How do the choices work?

At the end of each scene, when you are given a choice about what to do, you should see two black buttons appear that look like this:

A puppet rat looks at you above two buttons - 'Read it!' or 'Run it!'

You can take as long as you like to decide, but as soon as you touch or click on one of the black buttons, the next scene should play in response to that choice.

If you've tried everything we've suggested and you're still having problems, we're really sorry. It's the first time we've created something like this and we're still learning about how to make it work for everyone. Please could you fill in this form so we can investigate?
