Award-winning museum learning
We've won awards in recognition of the high quality of our work.
We don't like to blow our own trumpets here at the museum, but here's what the Sandford Award judge said about our provision at the Museum of London Docklands:
'This museum plays a pivotal part in our understanding of London and world history. The learning team at the museum is to be commended for the imagination and sensitivity with which they have shaped the design and operation of their learning offer. They have ensured that the wider community is consulted on every significant decision and development and that their programme meets the needs of all visitors. The proactivity and responsiveness of their whole team is a model of good practice'.
We also hold the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge, a nationally-recognised indicator of good quality educational provision, and we're signed up to the Kids in Museums manifesto as part of our commitment to welcoming families, teens and babies to all our venues.
