Session description

Experiment with forces and motion in this fun, practical session fusing history with engineering and science.

Discover how the development of shipping from sail to steam made London and the Thames a hub for global trade and led to the growth of the Docklands.

Then head to our learning room and inspire your future engineers with a hands-on investigation of the effects of wind power on boats.

 35, 3 groups per day

 75 minute session plus 30 minute self-directed gallery visit
