Londinium in your hands

Londinium in your hands

Students handling Roman objects discovered by archaeology in London.

Session description

Londinium is an excellent case study representing the Romanisation of Britain. As the largest city in Britannia, the extant archaeological evidence is vast.

Use this evidence to explore what the Romans brought to London, as well as those that resisted their presence. Participate in a retelling of Boudica’s story, and create a rousing speech to rally your Roman or Celtic army into action. You'll also explore our Roman London gallery!

Inspired by – and adding a London context to – the Cambridge Latin course.
