Everyone’s favourite marmalade-loving bear returns to the Museum of London this October half term to coincide with the release of PADDINGTON 2, in cinemas on 10 November.

The world’s much-loved, well-mannered bear is about to hit the big-screen again this autumn and the Museum of London is celebrating all things Paddington. Visitors will get the chance to experience an exclusive behind-the-scenes display, a series of special events and activities, and will be able to meet the bear himself when he makes an exclusive visit to the museum during half term!

The display, Behind the Scenes of PADDINGTON 2, will open on 19 October and will include original costumes and props from the film. In partnership with STUDIOCANAL, the display will provide a unique behind-the-scenes peek at the much-anticipated PADDINGTON 2, released on 10 November.

Highlights from the display include:
- Lead characters’ costumes including a Paddington outfit
- The London pop-up book that Paddington is trying to buy for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday
- Costume designer sketches from the film

Natasha Fenner, Curatorial Assistant at Museum of London said, “Michael Bond’s stories about London’s favourite bear are timeless. London takes pride of place in the upcoming PADDINGTON 2, with a number of the capital’s iconic locations featured. We’re excited that this display will provide a unique opportunity for visitors to see, up close, some of the costumes and props used in the production of Paddington’s newest adventure around the city.”
Families are also urged not to miss out on the opportunity to meet Paddington himself when he visits the Museum of London on Tuesday and Thursday during half term.

Young fans are also invited to take part in a series of events and activities happening at the museum as part of our Half term with Paddington. Visitors can expect a jam-packed week of family-friendly activities including crafts, storytelling and illustration.

Event highlights include:

- Meet Paddington and some of the young actors from PADDINGTON 2.
- Meet children’s author Katherine Woodfine and hear her talking about children’s books in London.
- Michael Bond’s daughter, Karen Jankel, will be hosting a talk and a book reading.
- Come to a children’s storytelling event from book publisher Harper Collins.

If that wasn’t enough, we are running an exclusive competition to win four tickets to attend the World Premiere of PADDINGTON 2 in London. Visitors will be able to take part up until the last day of half term (29 October) by picking up an entry form at the Museum of London and visiting the display to answer a simple question.

For visitors that want a bit of Paddington for themselves, the Museum of London’s shop will be full of themed items including books, toys and gifts.

PADDINGTON 2 is released in UK cinemas on 10 November 2017
